Hello all,

I'm new around here and just wanted to introduce myself briefly. I have been researching Asperger's Syndrome online for several months now off and on. I have not been diagnosed officially but based on many of the online tests and through what I've read I feel it is highly possible I have this syndrome. This research was prompted by being fed up with issues I've been having in my relationship - trying to find some explanation as to why I keep having the same problems repeatedly. I don't remember how I came upon the AS subject but once I started reading about it I found very many parallels to my life, both current and in my history / childhood / growing up. I will probably get into more detail in another post about my history, traits and self-diagnosis theories as I would like to get feedback and opinions from others. But for now I'd like to keep this post relatively short.

I found WrongPlanet through searching about "relationships and asperger's", but aside from seeking advice on that, I have a feeling I could possibly relate to people around here. This site seems like an oasis of intelligent, insightful, interesting and helpful people. I look forward to interacting here and possibly making some new friends. I love the WrongPlanet name by the way - it resonates strongly with me, as one who has always felt somewhat like a "visitor" in the "real world".

My profile lists some of my interests very briefly if anyone is curious. There is a lot more than that short line will allow though of course. :)

Welcome to Werbert's Planet, SpectreWithin.

Our leader is Emperor Werbert I. Tinky is random. ShadesOfMe and I are vampires. Greyhelium is the random insane 1337speaker with a laziness complex. Bob the Llama is a drunk chipmunk who thinks he's a llama. There's a radio in werbert's fingernail... CAR!! ! Pillows are always the answer. Cheese will be our downfall. Please don't touch the kittens. They contain no penicillin. I post a lot. I have over 66 posts per day. You must post constantly or I will go insane like I did the last time poeple stopped posting. Never psot. Psoting is the opposite of posting. I think that's everything you need to know.

Yes I do think it is very possible though I'm not totally sure yet. I've taken three online tests which strongly suggest the possibility such as the one at http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php in which I got these results:

Your Aspie score: 158 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 33 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

And from what I've read of the syndrome I seem to share a lot of traits with AS. But I am still unsure and will probably make a post in more detail sometime specifically asking for opinions on a self-diagnosis, as I continue to research the possibility.
