Uhh... hi. I'm Metabird. I also answer to "Raindancer" or simply "Gryphon".

Why I'm here: I'm a freaking headcase. Undiagnosed, unevaluated, but I know for a fact I have OCD, might or might not have autism (well, 2/3 of the symptoms match word-for-word.), and suspect mild hints of bi-polar (although that one might just be my attempt at rationalizing my moods lately). I'm also curious to see what the like-minded have to say and constantly searching for ways to improve myself. Thus, a little advice never hurts.

What else I am: The guy raised on traditional American values and behaviours... who openly rejects the bible, makes little more subconscious eye-contact than cold-hearted glares, stutters in the most awkward ways, and was supposedly the 2nd most intelligent lifeform in an entire county way back at age 8 (although I don't feel especially smart. Maybe I set the bar too high?)... and tends to use a pseudo-British accent at random.

I'm trying to imagine a sentient quadrupedal bird, it is making me laugh.

Sociology, specifically. Considering doubling in History and/or minoring in "International Peace Studies".

I like to see what makes people (both individually and as a whole) tick.
