Hi guys, I hope you dont mind me joining to try and get some help or advice, in a nutshell i think i'm involved with a guy thats either autistic spectrum or narcissistic, i'm confused and would appreciate being able to talk and get some opinions, so hi and heres hoping

Please excuse any ranting about NT's you may come across on the forums; they are not directed towards nice NT people such as yourself, and some of us simply don't have anyone else to relate to except on these forums. I think the four general characteristics of someone being on the Asperger's-Autism Spectrum are as follows:

1) intense intellectual interests,
2) social awkwardness or "second language," even though a person may want social interaction so much it hurts,
3) sensory issues, and
4) stimming.

(And not every person on the spectrum necessarily has all four.)

Now, as far as being in a relationship, my experience is that I need a lot of alone to stay in contact with myself and to emotionally process. Think of an artist or philosopher needing to take long walks.
