Well hello. I am a 19 year old female, diagnosed about a month ago, though I've really known about having it for over a year.

I am very high functioning individual, and very verbally intelligent so in the past many of my shortcomings were overlooked, hence the late diagnosis. My more severe problems come with emotional connections and being empathetic rather than the more obvious deficits. Now I know this is debated, but I see myself as more of a Sherlock-esque aspie (I'm thinking of the BBC incarnation here, just to be specific) as opposed to the aspies I've spoken to, who I assume are more "typical", though I know it's an incredibly diverse spectrum so it's hard to say what exactly is typical for an aspie.

My "special interest" contradicts the aspie stereotype of not putting effort into our appearances. My special interest is sweet lolita fashion (no relation to age-play or the Nabokov book, I promise) and more specifically the brand Angelic Pretty. It's a rather new obsession, but I consider myself a lifestyle lolita, which means incorporating the aesthetics of the style into my daily life.

I'm an INTJ if any of you are interested.

Sounds like you and I are a bit similar, having been diagnosed only shortly, being bright (if I do say so myself), especially verbally, and being from Ontario. I have moved out West, but still visit my folks there a lot! Eh, another Canadian!

Or, out here, instead of "eh", it is "hey?", like a question. Like, "Another Canadian, hey?"

In any case, it is wonderful to see.
