I'm a new member, have know I had AS for about 12 years, but only diagnosed recently. I'm 31 now, and discovering that it's gotten more difficult. Currently exploring ways to cope better.

Hi Jeff
Welcome to Wrong Planet, just being diagnosed myself. Which country are you from?

Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 42 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Thanks for the welcome.... somehow I forgot about this forum over the last several weeks. It's bookmarked now :)

I'm from the US, in Maine. I work as an REO contractor and sometime worm digger/ bait fisherman. Over the last year I finally went through the process of being officially diagnosed by a neuro psychologist, and though I have the official diagnosis I am still waiting for the written report.

One of his recommendations was that I apply for disability and hire an attorney that specializes in that. Though I do work, I am self employed and have had to rely on my Dad for many medical expenses. I've recently begun taking both Ritalin and Prozac, both of which have been very helpful, but the Ritalin in particular is quite expensive.

Again, thanks for the welcome. I'm hoping I'll be able to learn more about all this here.
Jeff
