Hello WrongPlanet. I first joined this sight a while back but after a little while lurking I gave up on it. I thought I was at peace with my Asperger's Syndrome, and I was for a while. Now I'm back, having hammered out my first really bad novel and am now working on my second. I plan on sharing the new story with the people here because the writing forum I go to doesn't have much traffic anymore. If any of you who read this are interested in seeing it, please say so. Anyway, I'm liking this site more the more I look at it.

My first novel was awful, unpublishable by any means, I hope the second is better but have no critics for it yet.

Be sure to return to the first one for re-doing, it can help a lot!

I'm also an avid writer, however I'm only 16 years old and don't even have 1/10th of my story done yet (despite it resting at 65,000 words). You can find links to my story in the "Aspie authors writing social interaction" thread (it's a sticky, it'll be at the top :D). The only audience I've had are my friends at school and the ones on WP who actually read it, and so far it's been met with positive response!

Wow, my first 'complete' novel was only 70'000 words or so, I'd be careful with that story of yours. BTW, I'm only 16 as well and I've learned a lot about writing in the year I've been doing it seriously which is the main problem with the first novel. I outgrew it. Good luck with your writing.

I don't think I'll ever outgrow my story! It's kind of an epic mix between Star Wars, LOTR (with less magic), and real-life stuff. Takes place on Earth, but some bits take place on another planet. I wouldn't be suprised if my story (or rather novel) would surpass LOTS in terms of length!

Sounds cool. My first novel was a space opera of sorts but the new one is a sort of post apocalyptic judeo-christian myth-based character novel. I'm liking it a lot but after hitting 35k with it I'm having a hard time continuing, the story is all ready to be written but I don't have much time for it.
