Hi everyone, nice to meet you all!
I'm a woman in my 20s and I have suspected that I might have AS for several years. There are a few things that don't really fit with me so I decided that I didn't have it and tried to forget about it but it keeps popping up in my mind and I can't stop thinking about it. I didn't really want to seek a professional diagnosis for various reasons (I'm terrified of having a label stuck to me and people pre-judging me based on that - silly I know) but I'm now thinking it might be a good idea so I can help myself and also so I can know one way or the other.
There are a lot of things that are common to AS that I don't have like the face blindness (never ever had that), a liking for routines (probably had it a bit as a child but not so much now), taking things literally (I've been accused a few times but generally I think I don't do it). I don't really fit the stereotypical Aspie woman either, in that I prefer female company (I feel much more comfortable around women), am quite girly and enjoy clothes, make-up, shoes etc. I know everyone on the spectrum is different but all of this just adds to my confusion.
Edited a lot out as too much personal information was on here, sorry.
