I'm Michael Boyce, and,up until 1991 when I was Diagnosed with Aspergers,I was,for 37 Years before,Misdiagnosed with "Mental Retardation" because of a incident regarding A Wooden Block test! I said,This is for 3-Year Olds and Apes! I'm not doing this! They'd wrote "Has Mental Retardation" on the records-This was in 1964,ten years before the first Diagnosis was detected! I was put in 3 Mental Wards,Grasslands,Middletown ,all in New York! After a brief stay out because of a Private School, I was put in Rockland in 1973 and by 1976 was out for good! 40+ Years away! YAY! Never Again-those places were Horrible!

You know it! this was back in 1964,remember,10 years before the first patient was diagnosed with it and gotten its name,so,they didn't know what was wrong then...Still,they could've done way better than they did...it would've saved me from all the agony I'd faced! As a result,I can't stand Kids screaming..It just rattles me,and I need to flee them! Living in a ward with hearing them scream night after night does that to you,Y'Know!
