UK used to mean United Kingdom but ask anyone today and they’ll tell you it stands for Unbelievable Krimewave.

So glad you put UK instead of Britain, everyone seems to forget the Irish, at least the northern ones.

I live in Scotland, by way of New Zealand.

Very true. We're a Union of four constituent parts. Even people within the Union seem to forget this. :)

If you want to be pedantic - England/Wales unified as one entity, Scotland the other and Ireland (later just Northern Ireland). That's three. Is that better?

If the European Union has its way,we'll all be split into 'regions' instead of countries.
They've drawn up a map putting the west of Scotland in the same region as Ireland
(a Celtic connection at least),but also with Portugal ! ? They propose to make England
12 different regions but I can't remember what silly ideas they've got for Continental
Europe

'Eh? What was the question? I'm not telling you a thing, you hoser!

(puts on toque, goes off to grab box of Tim Hortons, go to NHL.com to recap the sports highlights, grab the snow shovel and clear the path to the zamboni)
