I'm an Aspie and damn proud of it!

I'm a man of few words and I hate talking about myself too much out of fear as coming across as being arrogant.

My name's Dax_Shokawa and I'm a 27yr old Australian Aspie. Being an Aspie has bought me my fair share of troubles but also it's rewards. I've been bullied, ostracised and labelled horrific things, but I decided to make it toughen me into a stronger person. On a good note, I've applied myself as an aspie with varying degrees of success.

My first passion is Japan and it's history, culture, food and people. I've been lucky enough to have travelled there in 2002 and it was the greatest 2 weeks of my life! I travelled to Izumo for a homestay, Hiroshima where I stood at the very spot where the atom bomb hit, Miyajima and its famous torii gat, and to Tokyo where I spent 3 days sightseeing and 3 hours asleep!

My second passion is film. I'm currently studying film at Griffith University and I've been accepted into a screenwriting and directing course at the Sydney Academy of Film and TV where I'll write a short film that'll be seen on TV! Recently, I've just finished a job working as a assistant director (only one beat away from the top job!) and I've also worked as a runner/extra on an ad for the RSPCA =)

In closing, I'm really excited about the new forum and I'm looking forward to making friends with all of you

I thought the impact point at Hiroshima was still a radiation hotspot! How did you get there?

Did you get to sleep at that capsule place where they have the little tubes you can sleep in (like from the last Amazing Race)?

I love film too but I wanted to act in film. But I would love to hear about you are doing. When I get new DVD I love to watch with audio commentary on and find out all the behind the sence stuff that happens.
