Hi! I am new to this
Hi, I am a female married to a very wonderfully complicated man with what I believe is Aspergers. He told me when we got together he had a form of autism but I never saw it...6 years later it just hit me. Now I am reading everything I can to try to understand our life. Not sure if I am also As but starting to suspect after reading all the lists and checking so many boxes. We just moved after living in a space I loved for 5 years and I feel like the whole world is falling apart at the same time. Has anyone else felt like this?
I hope to learn what I can to help reduce stress for my husband and learn how to speak the same language. He obsesses over his work and I feel so guilty if I pull him away to spend time with me but I have to if I want to see him, or I have to work alongside of him. I am tired of only doing " work things " together and need to start socializing again, it's been so long I am forgetting how to...it is easier to just stay home ![]()

Hi loveandlearn,
I hope you find the answers you are looking for here. It sounds as though you are willing to read and look for answers to help your marriage, which is great. With Aspergers, understanding and communication go a long way towards making things work. You say your husband 'told you he has a form of autism' but just that you believe it is Aspergers. Have you clarified this with him? Knowing what you are dealing with is important.
I know what you mean about moving, it can be very stressful, and if you are on the spectrum that can make things worse.
Welcome to Wrong Planet.
