I found this forum on another forum that I visit. I'm 19, and I live in Georgia. I think I have Asperger's, and so do my parents. They read something about it, and they said that it sounded a lot like me.

I have an obsession that many people think it weird. I'm obsessed with anything that has to do with coughing up blood, especially a disease called tuberculosis. I think about it a lot, and I get really happy when someone mentions it. I even buy video games and movies that have characters who have tuberculosis. My favorite video game character is Ukyo Tachibana. I like him because he has tuberculosis. He's from the Samurai Shodown fighting games. He's the guy on my avatar.

People tell me that I'm weird and that my mind is really messed up. One person even told me that I would probably end up being a bio-terrorist one day.

Anyways, I hope I enjoy this shiny forum!

Welcome to WrongPlanet.Net and I hope you enjoy your
experiences here. I suggest trying the forum selections(gaming).
you will find that in lower selection below public forums.
Have you considered past live about your TB obsession. It
sound like you are definely a artist potential in painting, drawing
or video game making.
There are key diffences in AS and HFA. AS people share similar
traits of obsessions, talking but not being able to be grapsped by
normal people, lack of eye contact issues an isolative and
social problems, But....the key diffences between Asperger's and
the Autism Spectrum Disorder is the fact that most HFA people
had early delays in Language (and other non-specified disorders)
related to learning by the age of 3-6(Sp:Ed). The topic is NVLD.
"Neurological Vactive Learning Disabilities" and a with most Asperger's
disgnosises have a terrifiic intellect but lack social skills mainly.

KEY WORD SEARCHES :
NLVD
ASPERGER'S
AUTISM
*Lars Perner also offers good insight in the diffences.

1)...Delayed Learning - LFA to HFA(Lower Form Autism, Higher Form A..)
2)...4-6 year old geniouses (Asperger's Syndrome)

Japanese culture, eh? I know a bit of that. Not me, i'm not Japanese, but my aunt is (which is why anyone who insults the Japanese in my earshot is doomed to die  ). Sometimes she'll teach me some phrases to say when she visits. However, she won't teach me the sort of phrase that i want to hear (the kind that usually comes across public TV as BLEEEEEEP!! !!), because she's too good for that.

Besides Japanese culture, my other obsession is - you guessed it - fantasy fiction. Hence the name Archmage.

Great to see ya.

I never considered anything about a past life about my TB obsession. I do believe in past lives, though. And you're right about the artist thing. I love drawing and stuff. Here's a few of my artworks:

I like your dragon drawing. It seems that japanese art is your
style. Have you thought about the AS/HFA data? I am hoping
my clues will help you.

I used to have a friend with a bit of a TB obsession. He used to cough affectedly into a handkerchief from time to time, lol. It's an interesting disease that crops up in a lot off 19th century novels, people always going of to spas, or dry climates, being isolated from others and dying young, a very 'romantic' disease. I quite like it as a phenomenon, it makes for a short life, which can be good.

Being a smoker myself, I'm likely to get emphesema, but it's not the same to be old and out of breath.

Obsolete diseases are interesting.

Hey Postperson, visit London, UK; TB's not so obsolete. There are now antibiotic-resitant strains about, so you could still get that short life and all the consumptive romance you dream of!

lol, yes, I think I heard about a resurgence of TB in London about a year ago. It's the fog...the damp....the rats....

I'm too old to die young now! missed my chance.

Hi TB_Samurai. I remember you from Gaia Online.

Are you interested in Edgar Allen Poe at all? Practically every woman around him died of TB. I'm not sure if it is possible, since I don't know much about the disease, but my theory is that he was a carrier who wasn't affected by the disease, since it seemed like people who came into contact with him would die of it not long after.
