Hi all

I'm a 28 years old man from Europe.
I work as a computer engineer (Linux/Unix sysadmin and software developer).

I've always known there was something different
about me. I was never able to have the social life and behave like
other people did. When I was 14, I discovered that I had a talent for
computers, they also have a very calming affect on me.

A year or so ago, I was looking for work and I did some personality
tests to prepare for the dreaded job-interviews. One of those tested
you for the 'type' of brain you have. The score I got was describes
as a highly 'male' type of brain, only found in people who have some
form of Autism or ... Asperger.

So I began searching around the net, as I learned more and more about
it and read the diagnostic criteria, it seems very likely that this is
what I have as teh desciption fits me to a point where it is scary.

In the meanwhile, I'm rather happy with the way I am, what helps
tremendously is that I'm happily married and my wife accepts me for
how I am. I recently became a father, which is going very well for me
too.

I hope that talking to other people with similar experiences will be
a refreshing change to not being understood.

Welcome to Wrong Planet. What sort of test did you take? Was it Myers-Briggs, or something similar?

I can't remember the exact name, it was on 'official' one in my country.
Myers-Briggs sounds familiar though.

Welcome Nocturn!
I used to know a guy by the name of Nocturn, on this game that I played. Cool guy. Come into the chatroom sometime. I'm always there since I found this site.

Hi Dunc

If you are interested in a cool version of Linux, check out Ubuntu (www.ubuntulinux.org).
