Well, hello everyone.
I'm a fourteen year old aspie female living in the US and just joined this forum. I like to think of myself as a bit of an artist, since I've done a few sketches; all of which received pretty good feedback. I'm into video games, my favorites being Minecraft and Skyrim. My favorite tv show is Doctor Who, in case you missed my avatar and signature. My biggest obsession would be languages. Unfortunately until I start high school this fall I won't know any (real) languages. I am however studying some Sindarin and Dwarvish, both of which are fictional languages found in J.R.R. Tolkien's books. (Just ask, and I can give you a full explanation of how to write with Tengwar and runes.) I spend the majority of my time in outer space, philosophizing about the workings of the universe and gradually making my way towards becoming the next Einstein. I struggle with pretty severe depression, and I've even been in a mental hospital for about two weeks to get me off the ledge. Thankfully, I'm getting a hold on that and I've started looking more toward the positives. People generally describe me as smart, artistic, kind, funny, annoying, and a bit egotistical. I could keep going on about me, but as it's 3 in the morning and I'm an incredibly deep person I think I'd better stop. Thanks for bothering to read all that

Based on the message that you typed you sound like a young individual who comes from a very well off family. No doubt life has been hard for you up to this point but now you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the reason why you may have been bullied at school was not your fault. You have Asperger Syndrome.

I'm here to tell you that it is ok to be angry about your situation if that is how you really feel. This is not a website where you should not have to conceal your feelings. So if you feel angry go ahead and let it out. I know I did for a while.

You have been put in a situation that is beyond your control. Your life can change for either the better or the worse. You now have to become your own advocate. Not only do your parents have to become more educated on how this disability affects you but YOU must also become more educated about this disability. But perhaps you already knew that. Everything you do in this life has to be your best. The NT can afford to survive in mediocrity........YOU DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO BE AVERAGE. You must be excellent at whatever you decide to pursue.


Fear not though, there are people and organizations that are out there who can help you now and also when you make the transition to adulthood. You and your family will have to pull all the resources togethet that you can in order for you to live a happy and healthy life. If you do not you will continue to have negative experiences until you reach adulthood and then once you do the best future that you can look forward to is one where you either (A) live life in financial poverty getting fired from job after job or (B) Living a life completely dependent on welfare. The choice is yours.......Perhaps this is not the type of message you were looking forward to reading but these words that I type contain much truth in them.
