Hello folks! I've been reading these forums for months and I thought it was finally time that I join the community. So, here is my story.

I've always been different but never knew what was up with me. I have speech problems so they put me in speech therapy. I have learning difficulties so they put me in special ed. I have poor motor skills so they put me in occupational therapy. Always treating the symptoms while never knowing the cause. It wasn't till I was 16 that my special education teacher approached me about getting tested for autism. And well...

Now that I know that I have high functioning autism spectrum disorder, it all makes sense. It explains everything. Why I'm socially awkward , why I go through phases of obsessive interest, why I walk funny, why I constantly over think, why I'm so impressionable, why my memory is above average, and so much more.

So I came too Wrong Planet to make some internet friends on the spectrum.

Hello. I see you like dinosaurs. Are you interested in paleontology as a whole?

I am interested in paleontology as a whole. As you can see I decided to call myself "Saltopus" on here which was once thought to be a dinosaur but has since been reclassified as a more basal dinosauromorph. Really all the prehistoric animals interest me, but dinosaurs more specifically have been a special interest that I just keep coming back to.

You sound like you would be a lot of fun to take with on a visit to a Natural History Museum.

Lets just say I would be a volunteer tour guide if my town had a natural history museum, which it unfortunately doesn't. But sometimes traveling exhibits come here, with paleo-art, fossils, animatronic dinosaurs, or what have you. Thats when I show off my encyclopedic knowledge and treat myself to the gift shop at the end.
