Hello, I am an Australian who was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at the age of 21; personally, I don't dwell on it (because it is just a part of me - not me as a whole) and am not entirely comfortable bringing it up because of the apparent stigmas and misconceptions attached to it by others. I take a while to warm up to people and may seem a bit distant at first.

I'm from Brisbane, where are you located? And yes, we're a warm, and encouraging group of people here. Once you've read a few posts, you should settle a bit better. Many people who find us find that they can relate much better with people on here, than in their own lives.
