I've already posted a few times, but I've never formally introduced myself since joining a couple of days ago.

My name is Nathaniel, and as the title says, I live in Northwest Arkansas (Fayetteville, to be exact). I am 23, single, and I am a sophomore majoring in Communications at the University of Arkansas. I am also one of the first students to join the school's brand-new Autism Support Program (I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in high school). If anyone has any questions about it (it has helped me a great deal in the year-and-a-half I've been going to school here), feel free to ask or PM me.

Here's a picture of me in the St. Louis Arch!

My interests include video games (I play a lot of League of Legends), working on computers, sports, and history (focusing mostly on the 20th century, but I love all of it!). I don't really care for anime, however; I like the art style, and I just haven't really found one that I really like. I also like Top Gear (UK), Archer, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

My mom told me about this website, and I thought I'd stop in and say hi to everyone!

Welcome! I'm also an Always Sunny fan - sick stuff. Plus I went to grad school in Philadelphia so its fun to watch for familiar scenes.

Welcome :D

Nice pic! You're so lucky to have the support, what exactly do they do to help out?

I too am not an anime fan, but like the art style; in saying that, I do like one anime, so thought I'd let you know in case you wanted to check it out. It's story style is more close to a western style of script writing, which is why I think I like it. It's called Death Note; Its rather dark, but is quite intelligent. I recommend watching it in Japanese, with the subtitles, as their voices sound better, but it's your call.

Are you from NWA, or only going to college there?
I'm from NWA...beautiful area to be outdoors when it's not bitterly cold outside.
I hope you enjoy it!

It's a nickname from when I played paintball. Almost every time I got shot, for some reason it was always right in the face. I've been using it as an online handle ever since.

Basically they help us cope. They give us a structured schedule with classes, coaching appointments, and study hall. They're also willing to provide a kick in the pants if we need it for school work, and a willing ear when life and relationships (or lack thereof, in my case) get to be too much. Guaranteed housing is also great, and in a dorm that is actually more like a hotel suite, with separate rooms where we can be alone to recharge.

One of these days, I'm going to sit down and watch Attack on Titan.

I keep telling myself that, but I have yet to actually do it...

I'm from the area, I lived in Berryville most of my life. It's nice going to college somewhere so close to home, it's only an hour-and-a-half to drive there.

And it is rather cold right now...

Hi Headhunter! I noticed your signature file is a quote from a book by Patrick Rothfuss. I actually live in the same town he does (Stevens Point, Wisconsin) and I've attended a few readings of his. I haven't read a complete book of his yet but I hope to someday.

If you like fantasy any at all, go to the library and get the first book in his trilogy, The Name of the Wind. I promise you, you won't regret it. I've done a lot of reading in my 23 years, and his books are among the most exquisitely written novels I've ever read. I cannot recommend them enough.

But living near such a good author must be great! I heard he used to teach Creative Writing, I would've given my right arm to be in that class, even though I have little interest in writing fiction.
