Ways had terrible luck when it has come to maintaining friendships and relationships. There always seems to be a meltdown or imense amount of frustration over something after awhile. I feel misunderstood in a lot of situations. I am always extremely observant in social situations, but never really know how to get involved in group conversations. I used to have terrible eye contact with people until I became aware of the connection between autism and all of the other things I do that relate to it. Believe me, looking somebody in the eye makes a HUGE difference in the way people respond to you!
So that is a short summary of me. I hope to become more involved in this community and hope to make a few friends in the process. It feels so comforting to know that after 33 years I finally have the answers for why I am who I am and why my life has unfolded like it has!
