Hello there!

Last summer, I caught the word 'Asperger's' used within an episode of Sherlock. Out of sheer curiosity, I did a little bit of research on the term, only to find that I related very heavily with the signifiers and diagnostic criteria. I was awestruck at just how accurately what I read intertwined with my personal experiences and seemed to explain away my feeling like an extra-terrestrial throughout most of my life.

Needless to say, autism and Asperger's syndrome has since become an intense special interest of mine and I am currently undergoing a series of appointments to try to obtain a diagnosis. Until recently, I've felt somewhat 'alone in the dark', so I look forward to meeting you all and perhaps increasing my understanding of what it is to be on the spectrum.

Cheers! ;)

A-thank-you, Willard!
I'm primarily into my music. Been playing drums, bass and guitar for approximately seven years (more recently a little bit of ukulele) and I'm studying music at university. I also have a cheeky fascination with psychology and 'abnormal psychology' (including the autism spectrum and personality disorders).
How about you, cathylynn?
