Hi there!

I guess it's time to write something on this forum, so here we go...

I am almost 40yrs old, male, and I got diagnosed with Asperger's 1 year ago. Wow... Very strange feelings. Overwhelmed for sure, lost and confused.

I know that I am functional, simply because I "survived" until now! But now? Nothing has changed in my life, except this diagnosis.
I am very curious about it though. Unfortunaltely, I didn't find so much references for adults out there.

I hope this forum will be helpful

Have a nice day

Plenty of AS adults here on WP, more joining all the time. I think the Internet has had a lot to do with adults who've been fumbling their way through life for years, finally discovering that their handicaps have a name. Welcome! :D

Thanks!
I am spending some time clicking here and there to find adults diagnosed lately, I need to know the different ways to live successfully with ASD.

I hope to find relevant info and interesting people!

Push your self into the uncomfortable even if it's just solo activities.

I took up cycling to get out the house more and it's really helped me to gain a bit of confidence in my self.
Once you break a few walls down everything seems a little less harder even though you know there's still some things you will never be to do like a normal person.
But I guess it depends on how much it's anxiety holding you back and how much of it is ASD

Hi, thank you for your comment!
Yes I try to get out the house more often: running and biking. However, I am now unemployed and I can't be totally peaceful with this situation, if you know what I mean. It's also a source of anxiety that prevents me to be totally focused on out-door activities. I don't know if it makes sense?

Thanks again
Best
