Hello everyone,

I'm new here, and to the world of Autism... I've had various issues for a long time and we've always just called me "different", and it wasn't until recently when a family friend (who is diagnosed with Asperger's) told us that he thinks I might have it. We looked around for ways to diagnose it but it sounds (from reading some posts on here) like that is rather difficult. I did however take the online "Aspie-quiz". I scored a 160 out of 200...."very likely an Aspie". I'm not sure how reliable this test is but it would make a lot of things make sense for me...I was wondering however is someone might explain how the little chart thing works, how one reads it... I don't have the picture to attach unfortunately, but if someone could explain the basics, that would be great. Thanks

Hello everyone, thank you for the warm welcome. I love movies, and filmmaking, though I can't practice that because I have a hard time talking to people, let alone doing it in an authoritative voice, and filmmaking is a "group effort"...so I make little animations by myself...I also Love writing.

Does anyone know If a regular psychiatrist could actually diagnose Asperger's? Or is that more a specialty thing?

@ Trev 27: Even though I have been trying to cut down on watching movies because school is more of a priority for me, I love coming across fellow movie fans! I also love filmmaking, but I too won't make a good movie director, so since I was 16, I have been writing screenplays, despite the annoyance of my family. If you would like to read my screenplays, PM me.
