Hello, I'm a 21 year old male Norwegian with Asperger's Syndrome. Got the diagnosis at the age of twelve, after a process that lasted for about four years, amusingly enough because the child shrink I got assigned to didn't think autists were capable of playing football. Luckily for me, most of my family on my father's side either have Aspergers or have some degree of autistic traits, and I got raised in a manner that more or less lets me 'blend in' so to speak (to the point its been years since anyone have been able to guess I have AS without me telling them). I come from a farmers' family on one side of the family, and working class on the other. My interests include history, politics, hunting and boxing. Don't really know what else to put here.

Hi Blomm. Welcome. Most regular people I know have a stereotypical interpretation of what autism and Asperger's looks like. It is disappointing to think that some doctors have it too. I have always been pretty good at sports myself, but then I'm off the charts with some other autistic behaviors. I've read somewhere that if you meet one person with autism, you've met...one person with autism! Glad you've joined us.
