Hello.
I lurk here from time to time. Finally decided to register.
I'm mainly a hermit but I get the desire to socialize from time to time. I suppose because we're social animals.
I'm not good at socializing and I don't know if I'm an interesting person or not, as I've never done much of either in my life.
I mainly keep to myself and am very private, unless asked something.
I only have one friend in real life but would like to make more, if only as online penpals or something.
I have not been diagnosed as autistic but it is highly suspected of me by my psychiatrist. Being 29, it is next to impossible for me to
find someone willing to see if I have it or not. I'm not like most other people, so a diagnosis would help me explain why, but until then I'll just deal with being a different person.
My interests include video games, music, animals, imagination, fantasy, and writing. I'm also a furry.

I have also just "de-lurked" and am looking to find others like me. I am sure they must be out there, but I can't find any in real life. I have visited the site often as my son was diagnosed with Asperger's 8 years ago. During the evaluations and testing, my late husband and I came to the realization that I have it as well and my son's doctor strongly suggested as much. I never bothered to get officially diagnosed and at 51 there doesn't seem to be much point. I have a difficult time making friends and I only have a small few, but they are "work friends" and we don't socialize much outside of that. The closest is now leaving and moving across country and I feel very much alone again. I seem to be too intellectual for the people around me and they frequently call me uptight. (I find that a little funny because I am actually very liberal, but I do feel strongly about everything I believe in, so maybe it is true.) I also like video games and music, but I will admit that I play the same songs over and over again.

I am sorry if I should know this, but what is a furry?

Hi I am diagnosed Aspergers. I am 35 years old. I find it difficult to make friends but I would like friendships. I am interested in art and going to the gym. I just joined this site today, not sure how to begin at the moment it is my first ever forum post .
