Hobbies and Interests: Reading, nature and outdoors, hiking, science and medicine. I like to experience new things.

Why are you here? Partly loneliness, partly to learn about myself.

Favorite subjects: Biochemistry and Virology. Loved Physics but didn't have the mathematical rigor to delve too deeply.

Favorite music: varies quite a bit. On a RATM kick right now. I know.

Books: Forensics and diseases epidemic fiction. Used to read more fantasy. Reading some of the classical literature to make myself feel smart.

TV shows/movies: Not much TV these days. Seinfeld reruns, South Park, and college sports. Favorite movies are the first Matrix, Something about Mary, and most of the Coen and Tarantino movies. A bunch of old movies.

Do you like sports? If so, which ones?: Yeah, I played football competitively. Enjoy other sports. Love to work up a good sweat.

Family: a brother, the exact opposite of me in every respect.

Clothing: Jeans and a t-shirt when I can get away with it.

Job: lab work these days. Looking to do something more medical or research oriented. have volunteered as a firefighter and at a hospital but becoming less frequent with it.

Plans for the future?: fall in love, get a grad degree, live happily ever after or something to that effect.

Hobbies and Interests: Social Sciences,books,movies,metal \m/ and travel (something I plan to do in the future).

Why are you here? I would like to meet other people on the spectrum because I have finally come to terms with who I really am.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 17.

Favorite subjects: Last year's practicum. Although I am in a social service worker diploma program, my goal is to work with children who have ASD's (mainly the higher functioning ones). I had the opportunity to do my field work at a centre for children on the spectrum. It was the kick in the arse I needed in order to finally understand myself like never before.

Year/Grade: Second year of college.

Favorite music: Metal \m/ death,black,power,doom etc.....

Books: I love books. Way too many to list. As of late I have taken more of an interest in non-fiction.

TV shows/Movies: Grey's Anatomy,Sex and the City,Criminal Minds,LA Ink, and the documentaries related to anything sociological on the CBC. As for movies, way too many to name

Instrument: I only wish I knew how to play one. My dreadful fine motor skills kinda screwed me over.

Do you like sports? I was never too great at sports.

Family: Not much of a family person. I'm really only close with my Mom.

Clothing: Jeans and a tee shirt. I rarely get dressed up.

Plans for the future? To hopefully work with people who have AS. I really believe in helping people with something I have actually experienced. I see no point in just doing any old job. It has to be something I consider a worthy and integral endeavor, otherwise why bother?

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): 1971 "With a different personality, untreatable" (actual word used by psychologists), self diagnosed Aspergers 2007 (I may choose not to go down the path of official diagnosis).

Favorite subjects: Chemistry, mathemathics, information technology, nanotechnology.

Year/Grade: Left school in 1976.

Favorite music: 80s funk, psytrance.

Books: Non fiction, science fiction and fantasy, inspirational stories such as "Touching the Void", stories of long walks.

When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I'm still trying to make up my mind if I should get an official diagnosis or not. But I have known about Asperger's for about 3 years.
