Why are you here?: I need other Aspies to talk to because i'm so loney.........the special needs program I go into i'm too high funtioning for everyone there is severly disabled............and ca'nt carry somewhat any conversation

Why are you here? To chill out and learn more about AS
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): I was diagnosed with ADD a few years ago, but it wasn't until about a month ago that I first heard of AS. I'm starting to believe that my behavior may be more in line with symptoms of AS than of ADD.
Favorite subjects: Japanese and Russian History/Culture, Video Games, Languages and Linugustics, Libertarianism, Wine, and someother stuff that I can't think of at the moment...
Year/Grade: I'll be starting my second year of my associate's degree in network security this fall. I should also mention that I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. My BA didn't really help me get a job, so I'm doing something alittle more hands on now.
Favorite music: Movie Scores, Video game music, Chillout, some trance occasionally
Books: George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and FIre series, Lord of the Rings, Starship Troopers, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, The Prince of Nothing Trilogy, all the Harry Potter books, Killer Angels, Notes from the Underground, The Death of Ivan Ivanovich

Favourite subjects: Maths, I.T, Geography
Year/Grade: Educated at home until I was 15, when I went to college to do some GCSEs and a GNVQ.
Favourite music: Bjork!! !! Besides her, I like Catatonia (R.I.P you guys), Coldplay, Blur, The Polyphonic Spree, among others.
Books: Books? What are they??! 
TV shows/Movies: No particular TV shows, but films: Brazil, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive, Donnie Darko, Fight Club, Delicatessen, anything slightly surreal and confusing.
Instrument: None currently, but I'd like to learn the guitar.
Do you like sports? Sorry but no. I occasionally play squash, which is great for hand/eye coordination.

Location: Lincolnshire, UK. Really it is the middle of nowhere, good for growing cabbages and wising you were somewhere else.

Favorite subjects: Stumble Upon www.stumbleupon.com , Computers, Photography.
Year/Grade: I went to university and acquired a geology degree in the 80s.
Favorite music: A wide an eclectic taste focusing on Modern classical and Techno Pretty well anything except for Country and Western, and R&B.
Books: Detective fiction, SF (particularly Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams), Biographies and autobiographies, Travel (eg. Bill Bryson). Pretty well anything except for Romance.
TV shows/Movies: Tend not to watch much TV, other than Dr Who. Furtively following Big Brother and ashamed to admit it…. Movies very much limited to what I can take the kids to or get out on DVD. Taste in movies, the quirkier the better.

Do you like sports? No, though I do go to the gym, or swim whenever I can. I enjoy walking and cycling.
Family: I’m a single parent of three kids (eldest lives away from home). Mother lives 10 miles from here and is ill with cancer.

Hobbies and Interests: Music (metal mostly but I like a lot of stuff), nature, hiking, going for long drives at night just relaxing and listening to something to fit the mood, Norse mythology, philosophy etc.
Why are you here? To get to know other individuals with either aspergers or autism who may have had similar experiences as me since I don't know many around here.
When were you diagnosed?(skip if you don't have a disorder): About 4 years ago.
Favorite subjects: Philosophy, Writing
Year/Grade: Have completed two years of university
Favorite music: Black/death/thrash/heavy/doom metal (metal bands which usually people have no idea about it seems) as well as bits of alternative-rock, classic rock, noise, neo-folk, ambient etc.
Books: Currently Thomas Harpur's "The Pagan Christ"
TV shows/Movies: I don't watch tv much but when I do it's usually either Law And Order or The Simpsons. Favorite movies: The Shining, The Stand, 8MM, Bully, American History X, The Believer, Saving Private Ryan, Hitler: The Rise of Evil, Speer - The Devil's Architect, Butterfly Effect, The Lesser Evil, Evil Dead 1&2, Audrey Rose, Scarface, Godfather series, Goodfellas, A History of Violence, Der Untergang (Downfall), Kids, Another Day In Paradise, Mysterious Skin, Titanic :p etc.
Instrument: Music is my life but for the most part I prefer to let those more talented than myself create it. :p
Do you like sports? Some: Weightlifting, hiking, camping (if you can call that a sport), floor hockey. And because I didnt add it in hte tv section watching NHL hockey.
