Hi, I'm a 52-year-old Aspie male based in the south-east of the UK. I'm single and I travel every day to my job in IT support. I've never been in a relationship but I was always reasonably happy being single until about a year ago when an attractive 30-something female commuter on the daily train started to show some apparent interest in me and a kind of connection grew between us. I'll tell the full story later in the appropriate board but let's just say that after a 'honeymoon' period things have become very weird between us and only quite recently I've become very sure that she is an AS female. I'd like to find out more about our strange interactions and I'm looking forward to telling my tale later.

Bye for now!

Very interested in hearing this story. I have never been in a relationship either, although I'm a lot younger than you, I don't know if I can have a girlfriend for a long time either.

It sounds like you might be onto something there! I hope she fulfills you, and that you fulfill her.

Even the most Aspie of Aspies need connection with people.

Welcome to the Forums.

My wife's son lives in Bromley, Greater London. I live in New York City, however.

Welcome Turboman!

That sounds fascinating!

I'm 51. I've had lots of relationships over the years. I've lived with a couple of girlfriends too (the longest for 5 years) but they all seem doomed to fail eventually and I've been single for most of my adult life. I really like the idea of having a girlfriend with the same condition, or even one who just has some of the typical characteristics. My feeling is that this could make a big difference... in a positive way.

Hope things work out for you and very much looking forward to hearing more!

I would love to read about your story in more detail as well.
