Hey everyone! I stumbled upon this website, and I thought I'd introduce myself. I have Asperger's Syndrome (diagnosed about 9 years ago now), anxiety, and depression. Anyway, just wanted to write a quick note to introduce myself and say hello and that I am excited to start posting here!

Thank you! I love to listen to music, watch tv, draw, and I also like anything having to do with animals. I am a huge dog lover.

Dogs! I Love dogs! I have two. If you have any, what kind are they? Animals too. I have my heart set on a Mastadon, once they clone them successfully that is. But have lots living wild around me. In the last few days have seen deer, a bat, a duck, red squirrels, newts, a toad, and a Northern Water Snake.

Welcome to WP also.

I unfortunately don't have any dogs right now :(. We had to put ours down. He was a boxer/belgian malinois mix and quite the handsome pup! I volunteered at an animal shelter for almost two years, and it was one of my favorite things to do.

What breed(s) of dogs do you have?

Sorry to here that. Our neighbors had boxers and they had free run of the area near their house. Both looked scary and powerful but were actually mushes.

I am thinking of trying to volunteer when the situation is right. But I am a bit afraid I will end up taking them all home. I truly am weak in the face of a sad looking animal.

These are fresh! Taken just today.

This is Momo. She's a Chihuahua/Toy Fox Terrier Mix. We got her as a pup.

This is Molly. We got her thru a rescue organization. She is also part Chihuahua and I am 99.99 % certain the other half is Mini Dachshund. She has some very distinct Dachshund features and personality. She was found as a stray so there was no record to be sure though.

This is them along our road. Both are quite small of course, but not really tiny. Momo is about 18lbs and Molly is 12lbs.

Welcome arielle!

Looks like you've found a kindred spirit here already! :)

Love animals too but I don't have any pets. I have had in the past but the main reason I don't at the mo is that I'm living alone and I often go out for the day or travel and stay with friends on weekends. I love cats and dogs and most animals in fact but pets are quite a responsibility. I hate to leave dogs alone for any length of time. I have considered getting a cat. The only problem with that is a cat would probably kill most of the wildlife in my garden (birds and lizards).

I'm from England but I live in Brazil. Been here for 5 years now. My favorite animals here are the monkeys. There are at least 3 species living around here, though non of them close to my house and I only occasionally see them when I'm out walking. Another animal I love to see (though my encounters are quite rare) is the Coati. The females live together in groups of about a dozen and when they're out foraging in long vegetation, they're constantly calling to each other. Cute little animals and they seem to be quite intelligent.

Anyway.... good to have you onboard! Hope you'll like it here.

Thank you...Wow, that sounds awesome! I've been to England before and absolutely loved it. I'd love to go to Brazil as well. I love seeing the wildlife in different countries. Where I live the most exotic animals I see are wild turkeys, the family of woodchucks which have taken up residence underneath my shed, deer, and bears.

We're looking into getting another dog soon, hopefully this summer. I've also owned ferrets in the past and loved having them too. They're extremely high maintenance though.
