Hello everybody.

I'm new here and this is my first post (and hopefully not my last).

I'm 26, male, in the UK and was diagnosed with AS at age 12. I suffer with depression and anxiety (social anxiety is the real killer for me). I have been alone without any friends for a long time (forever really) and I think I'm in danger of letting this situation continue, so I've joined here in part as a symbolic expression to myself to make more effort with people (and life in general) and also this seems to be a pretty interesting and inviting place in which to discuss all the interests and experiences we seem to have in common. I've never actually met another aspie.

I'm interested in things like biology, philosophy, psychology (I want to understand people) classical/baroque music, but being depressed they are kind of low grade interests. In particular, I love the music of J.S. Bach, to which I listen constantly and play on the piano (badly) :)

Nice to meet you! I hope you find what you are looking for here.

On a side note, I also love classical music.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

I plan on pursuing a minor in philosophy when I begin at Portland State this fall, so if you know anything about philosophy that can help me, just let me know.

Hi & Welcome,

Those sound like quite typical interests around here. Hope you can stand the shock of just being normal in this crowd.

Lots of music lovers here too, of all types, and genuinely all types. There are some music threads to share and listen to others suggestions.
