I really hate coming up with "subjects".

Let's see. An intro.
I'm rapidly approaching my 30th birthday. For the time being, I live in NW Ohio.
Interests include Music, Photography, Star Trek (TNG, DS9 and Voyager), Quantum Physics, and Studying World Religions (though I'm not particularly religious).

I had to laugh at the name "Wrong Planet" as it was exactly what I was thinking earlier today. I was thinking (ok I was brooding angrily) over other people not having to interepret every action, reaction, movement or sentence. (Incidently I only just figured out other people don't have to do that.) I was thinking it was like being dropped into another country....or being on the wrong planet. I can understand the language most of the time (but still have to translate in my head) and while I have an intellectual understanding of the culture, I can't seem to adopt or internalize it.
It always seems that I have to logic-out the things other people do. Analyze why someone said something or acted in a specific way. To use a star trek reference, I often feel like Data trying to figure out how to "be more human".
I'm glad to have found this community of fellow aliens.

Welcome to WP! :D

I know, my imagination tends to dry up when it comes to titles.

However, I do have to inform you that the last two digits of your user name are identical to mine. You can use them, but only if you pay me royalties.

On an unrelated note: Are you an Aspie? You didn't mention it...

Bah! I think we'd both be paying Douglas Adams.

Hrm..probably an Aspie, no diagnosis though.
Working on getting a referral to a psychologist but my insurance is pretty bad when it comes to that sort of thing.
Come to think of it, my insurance is bad at most things.

Kurt Vonnegut tracked down the meaning of the universe, it is 42. I think him one of us, it is also the age, twenty years later than most, when aspies say they "Grew out of it" the old folks called us "Late Bloomers."

In my book, "I Was a Teenager for Thirty years," I explain it all. Now I wonder why both picked 42. one could be random, the second 99 to 1, I will keep watching.

My social cues scramble people's brains, then I speak to them in Chinese. It helps them to understand my world, and like Data, I am much stronger than a human, so it starts a Federation relationship. First Contact is always iffy, I have broken the Prime Directive more times than Picard.

I teach Neurocultural diversity.

None, to my knowledge. Maybe it was in something Kilgore Trout wrote?
