Newbie here.
Hello everyone. My name's Anthony. Ajay for short.
I'm 24, and i'm currently a Student, studying film and video at Edith Cowan University.
I was diagnosed with AS when i was around 13 years old, All these years, I have never had the actual confidence to come forth and accept this fate. I always thought my incoherence with social activities as just me not really being a "People Person". I've always tried to go at things alone, especially since i was kicked out of the house at 19, but it's only recently that my partner, who also has AS, has suggested that I connect with a support group to better understand both myself, and the condition. She's amazing. Dunno what i'd do without her.
So, A little about what i do. Well, for starters, I aspire to become a Television director. I have a real knack for storytelling and poetry. I also have a rather strange obsession with machines, and am often fascinated with their workings. I presently work in a Hobby Shop, but I actually plan on looking for alternate work, due to the fact that the people in which I work with seem to think I'm an idiot... Even though when it comes to product knowledge, I run rings around most of the employees there.
Other stuff i'm in to? Well, i love Graphic arts, Japanese Anime, Cartoons, drawing, model-making and cooking! Oh, and my Girlfriend too. Haha!
I hope to both be able to meet new people, seek advice, and assist others.
I draw occasionally, but i am no professional. All of my works are on DeviantART, just search for the user, PGT-Sarge
I am presently working on a story there at the moment... It's pretty full on, the first episode's not too pretty, as is most of the story. I aim to make the main characters seem like detached figures, people who you would normally not empathise with being as heroes. There are three lead roles. A girl, Yumiko, whose father used to produce weapons, the same ones which killed thousands of people during the early stages of the Corporate Wars. A man, Kyouske, whose eyes were taken as a result of nanotech experimentation of Nanomachines made by the Nichiwata corporation, with software made by a rival company. This man simply wants to take down the world around him, as his own tortured body wants to fight the ones who put him through all this pain. Finally, the third person, Ryuuji, is an agent from a formal global alliance, who seeks to uncover the truth of the answers behind the nanite experiments.
The story tackles issues such as social responsibility, corporate greed, anarchism, and human-machine integration. It's a world set in a Utopia, which is being dismantled by the main characters, as they conflict with themselves, eachother and a general idea of a perfect space. The story is set in a city, which was renamed after a corporate takeover. The city takes influence from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo (In particular, the Shibuya district), coupling dense populations with green, crisp scenes during the day, and dirty street grit by night.
Welcome to WP. Your interests are very similar to my own. I used to write constantly when I was in hs. Your writing sounds very interesting.... Do you like to read?

It does get a little tricky to manage, the story is read very much as a Television series, and i break each "Episode" in to short pieces, which makes it easier to manage. I also have stacks of papers with the canon, weapons, tools, technologies and character bios handy, so i don't screw up their personalities.
I do occasionally, but i prefer to write than read, it allows my mind to explore the story space in a lot more depth. I love older science fiction stories and fantasy books. Really getting in to Philip K Dick's works at the moment. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is probably one of my favourite books, and it's the inspiration to Blade Runner
Haha, Thanks! She's a great girl. Real sweet. She too also has AS, so we can actually relate to each other on a lot of levels.
As for the story, We met at a Comic book/Manga/Toy store here in Perth. Surprisingly, the story's kinda funny. Basically I actually liked another girl back then, weirdly enough... I was with this girl, and one of my other friends, and we were all just exploring the city together. Suddenly, this girl (My partner, although, she wasn't back then) comes out and literally starts the conversation with "Hey guys, Nice suits!" She and i got talking about stuff, turns out we had a heap in common with eachother. Anyways, she decided to give my friend (the girl i liked) her phone number and DevART Details. Stupid me forgot to get this strange girl's number! Argh! About three weeks passed, and i got a text message from this rather weird number. Turns out the girl i liked actually gave her my number, which I was perfectly okay with, seeing as i forgot to get it off her earlier. Anyways, we decided to head out together, and she told me a little more about herself. over the coming weeks we grew closer and closer to eachother, until one night, after a lovely night at the Opera, we decided that we were perfect for eachother. :3 We've been together for almost a year and a half now, and to be honest, i've never been happier. Being with her helped me to change a lot of things for myself, I finally got into the Major i've always wanted to do, i've been performing really well, and i've been learning heaps of new things about life.
