Hi.

I'm 22 years old, female, and I just found out a few weeks ago that I am an Aspie even though I've known something was wrong with me my whole life.

I've been living my whole life under the impression that I was just a socially awkward, terrible person who didn't deserve friends, so I've kind of a become a loner, shut-in recluse over the years. Now that I know what's wrong and that it's not my fault... I'd like to get back to a healthier place and try the socializing thing again.

I'm really bad at making new friends, and I'm pretty petrified of any new social situation. Anything I can't plan or control somewhat, I panic. I am also the worst person EVER at small-talk and keeping any kind of casual conversation going. I know I need to work on these things if I want to become happier and more functional.

I'd also like to make some online friends, perhaps someone who understands where I come from and what I'm trying to say. It'd be SO nice to be able to relate to someone for once.

My "things" are human physiology/medicine, human biomechanics, exercise science, and nutrition. I also really like to run, exercise in general, and I like talking about cars. And I like to have large philosophical discussions about convoluted topics, and I like math. I'd also appreciate any education or tips anyone can offer me on autism, as I'm trying to learn more about myself.

If you'd like to be friends, give me a shout!

Yournamehere, do you work on cars or just admire them? I just admire them, haven't got to open one up yet.

I specialize in human anatony, and for some reason I find car "anatomy" intriguing as well.

What kind of cars do you like.. old, new? What's your favorite make? And least favorite?

I have this weird thing against Pontiac cars (no offence to any Pontiac drivers) haha.

O.k. here goes.

My ASE certifications are as follows. Advanced Master Automotive Technician. Master Engine Machinist. Under Car Specialist.

I have a Bosch electrical certification.
MACS (mobile air conditioning systems) certification, and a few good for nothing other ones too.

I also do work on motorcycles. All kinds. Other things too.

I like old and new cars. My favorite car is a 1969 pantera. Or any other modded pantera for that matter. As far as new goes. Honda. Not just cars either. Everything Honda :D . Superior engineering. Least favorite. Volkswagon, Audi. I think of them like the con job of the automotive industry. S4 is cool, that's it. Pontiac went out of buisness for a reason. My first car was a 1971 pontiac firebird formula. It was black on black with deluxe interior. Very cool, fairly fast car. I hope you can make an exception for a GTO. 8)

Kia, and hyundai have come a long way since its creation. They are not really old enough to know if they are tried and true yet. It usually takes a good long time until after the warranty is over in order to find out how good of a car it is. There are variables you can look at. The manufacturer knows approximately how long the cars are going to last. If a car has a 30,000 mile warranty, I wouldn't even test drive it. Resale value is a good indication. If you cannot sell a 90,000.00$ BMW for 15,000.00$ 7 years later, it is a piece of junk. If the same model has been manufactured with the same general parts for a few years, you can always look at technical service bulletins (tsb's), and recalls. Recalls are basically a court ordered fix, tsb's are not. If a two year old Chevy truck has 550 tsb"s, and 150 recalls, you are probably going to spend alot of time in a loaner car. As far as I know, a honda civic has the best resale, and one of the best warranties. 6/60 bumper to bumper. 10 years on paint flaws, and battery. I am a civic owner, so I may be exaggerating :D
