Hello everyone! This is my first time ever posting on this forum, or for that matter on any forum. Thought I'd join this site since it seems like I'll find a bunch of people similar to myself on here. Anyways, a brief introduction; I am a 27 year old male, located in the Northeast seaboard, who was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome sometime during my childhood. I don't remember exactly when, but I just know it was a really long time ago.

I am one of those people with a boring full time job (ugh!), but will become a student yet again sometime in the near future so that I can actually pursue a subject that I really like i.e. Computer Science. I am otherwise just a typical nerd; I like anime. And playing chess. And solving Rubik's Cubes. I also like physical sports as well, such as running, hiking, and other endurance sports. In fact, I can run a marathon! Well, I suppose I like playing games in general, whether they are physical sports or board games or even video games, but the ones explicitly listed are the ones that I spend the most time on.

As for my personality, most people think I'm a bit spacey, most likely because I generally either don't tend to pay too much attention to my surroundings, or am otherwise unaware of them. Well, I hope to meet new people on this site! I am open to communicating in every possible way, whether it is through forums, Skype, email, chat, etc. Looking forward to it!

Hey there new one :)

Good for you that you are heading for taking up studies again, so that you can get to work with and get a job you find interesting and like :sunny:

I used to be very good at running/ endurance exercise as well before, not so much any more though (due to leg pains and therefore having had to take a long break from running). Wish i could be back at the physical level were you are, you being able to run marathons, that is great :thumright:

And.. Welcome to WP :)

I live in NYC.

I ran 3 marathons in the 1990s.

I've had a layoff myself too, though in another sport (i.e. strength training). Yes, injuries do kinda put a damper on one's physical fitness program. I can assure you though that it is easy to recover your original capabilities once you start again :) .
