Hi
I have just joined this support group having finally taken the step to get a professional diagnosis of Aspies ( of course I have known all along) so that people will take it seriously. But at age 60 I am finally over struggling at social events and being criticised for speaking my truth so honestly (and abruptly) and being too rational and not being there emotionally for people, not wanting to be hugged etc etc. You all know what I mean.
So does anyone have suggestions on how to inform family and friends for the first time and how to get them to understand what I need and what I want to do from now on ?
Thanks
