Hello.

I have known WrongPlanet for years and decided now it was time to sign up.

I am a female of 24 years old and only got diagnosed last year. The DSM-V was already the new standard, so I got the label autism spectrum disorder while I think I belong in Asperger's syndrome rather than HFA. I think it was a bad idea to simplify the diagnosis.

I see you are from Belgium, so what language do you speak? Me, I'm from the flemish side of belgium: specifically Limburg/limbourg

How is this thread a necro when it's not even five years old yet ? Not even a whole year or even 3 months for that matter. Also, oui, bienvenue au groupe. Fairly certain all of « Belgique » are mostly French-speaking.

Dutch (1st: ~55%, 2nd: 13%)

French (1st: ~36%, 2nd: ~45%)

German (1st: 0.4%, 2nd: 22%)

I'm used to forums with a much higher turnover rate than WP - usually, by one month it's necro material. Regardless, OP hasn't responded here since, so it's unlikely that she'll read this thread again after so much time.

Wrong, I have been notified by mail and have been following this thread. Only just now did I find the time to reply, however.

So, Ydroi, I'm from Flanders as well. Dutch is my mother tongue.

Sure, bring second languages into it. Anything to keep the illusion alive I suppose...

55% speak dutch as a first language
36% speaks french as a first language

You can add up what you like with second languages. People only tend to speak them when they have to, for the rest they speak their mother tongue and for just over half of all Belgians that happens to be dutch :roll:

I said that it would be unlikely you would check this thread again - I never said it would be an impossible occurrence. As such I found it a little odd that people would still be posting after a month of relative silence.
