Hello, I am Carlos Figueiredo, and I am 16 years old.
I am pretty sure I am on the autism spectrum. I think all the symptoms apply to me.
I am pretty bad socializing, I have to work really hard if I want to make eye contact to someone, I have the sensory stuff, I offend people accidently and I have really obsessive interests.
First, when I was like 4 years old, I was very interessed in dinossaurs. I read lots of encyclopedias and collected dinossaur toys. I still know every kind of dinossaur. Then, around 8 years old I shifted from dinossaurs to American History (although I'm Portuguese). I researched a lot about American History, i think i probably know more about it than most american people :?. I especcialy liked cowboys. Then i shifted to computer games. I knew all about metin 2 and minecraft. Then when I was 12/13 I started liking physics. So I studied Calculus and then physics and now I know a lot of physics i would only normally know in a PhD. Now, my new interest is programming. I am also obsessed with it...

More info: When I was young i would not let people kiss me in the chick (this is a portuguese costume)... People thought I would get over that but I'm 16 and it still scares the hell out of me, which is very bad because it's like a society requirement. I don't like when people touch me.

So, I am pretty sure I am on the spectrum. The thing is my parents say they thought I was in the spectrum when I was young but now they think i don't and they think is silly to try to diagnose it because it won't change anything. But I really liked to know, just for intelectual satisfaction.

From the info that i gave you, can you please give your opinion? Am I on the spectrum?

I'd say it's a definite possibility. It's impossible for any of us to say from this information alone, but it does sound like something worth exploring once you move out if your parents aren't willing to let you see a specialist about this. Especially if it causes you problems.
