Hi to all you wonderful Aspies!

I am a 51 year old guy, who has jus realised there are other people out there who also have trouble with this Yahoo society. I always though that my inability participate in the games of deceit that people seem to enjoy was a purely individualistic trait until my son was diagnosed with AS and I started to look into this some more. Finding this site is a wonderful surprise. I have read many of the threads and am impressed by the integrity of the contributing individuals. A breath of fresh air!

The avatar is a picture of our Akita. If you don't know akita dogs, let me say best breed I know of! I used to have cats as I just love their independence, grace, and aloofness. An Akita is a dog with exactly those traits. They are more like a cat in a dog body I think - the most beautiful companion if you treat them with respect.
