Hi all....my 13yo dau has just been diagnosed and I have been doing an awful lot of reading. I now believe my father has Aspergers (most likely his mother who we all described as cold and heartless) and also my brother who struggles to this day with socialising. The more I read about females with Aspergers the more I feel my daughter has inherited the traits from me. The information I am reading explains alot about how I and others have perceived me throughout childhood, adolescence and now adulthood. I feel relieved and a bit scared. I am so glad to have found this site and this forum.

My daughter is highly anxious and is in full school refusal. I look forward to finding ways to cope and to stay sane :D
