ah, sorry, I actually started posting here about 6-7yrs ago when my son was diagnosed and I still remember when the doctor was telling my husband all the things that were "wrong" with our son…my husband replied to the doctor "oh my, then whatever you do to our son, do to my wife cause she is exactly the same" lol

Hallo and welcome. I am pretty sure others from Puerto Rico are or have been here. I have visited San Juan. I used to spend time around Puntas and Rincon for a few weeks in the winters when I was younger for the waves. I also stayed in Vega Baja with my surfing buddy's family. Really beautiful island and beaches. We were from Long Island.

My husband said something similar to my son's dr! Whenever something different about him was brought to my attention, I would say "I'm a weirdo, what do you expect from my son?" I asked my mom, and she just told me I used to do the same things, so we just thought my son was as eccentric as I am! Y mi padre ni se diga, he could be the poster boy for Aspergers, but he doesn't want to get a dx.

When I learned about Aspergers, it was like BINGO! Al fin, a mi hijo lo diagnosticaron hace un año. A mi todavia no, pero es bastante claro. Aunque ya no vivo en PR, si hacen un grupo de boricuas, me interesaria participar.
