Hi, I'm Elliot.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's in 2001. I'm a junior psych major at university. Coincidentally, my current area of research is autism... I work in a lab and am working on a couple posters/papers on the topic for presentation/publication.

Since I both live with autism and study autism and all that it entails, I think it's safe to say that I'm interested in getting to know others who are autistic. I have generally pleasant experiences talking to other aspie people and sometimes hearing about other people's experiences can inspire some line of thought that leads to a research question I never would have otherwise formulated.

Outside of my work, I love to play board games and other tabletop games like Magic: The Gathering. I also write fiction and poetry and even draw a bit, and I originally entered university as a creative writing major.

Feel free to say hi to me or ask me questions about anything, it's not always easy for me to initiate communication with someone.

ahh now I get your username. Are you working in a clinical or animal lab? Any plans on pursuing a graduate degree? oh and welcome

Thanks for the welcomes! I work with people currently, but I'd like to try working in an animal lab in the future, and I'm hoping on going directly from my undergrad to a PhD program in clinical psychology.
