Hey
A non-member sent me the link to this forum after pointing out some behaviours that remind him of his friends with Asperger syndrome. I was diagnosed with it when I was 10, but my mom says that I never exhibited any symptoms as a baby and although you could check off all the boxes required for a diagnosis, they didn't think it was correct. As a teen I developed some fairly bad depression; now that I've recovered, the aspie traits are still there, which was unexpected. Some problems with my parents, friends, relationships... anyway, I'd like to figure out what's going on since this appears to be how my brain works. In particular I have a really hard time understanding/processing emotions, and also predicting and interpreting other people's words and actions. And a few other things.
Re: username, Doves Type is a typeface recently recovered from the Thames after 100 years underwater due to politics between the owners of the press that invented it. It has been recently reconstructed.
