Hi all, figured I'd join after lurking for a while. 21/Male/Single/College Student. Never been diagnosed with anything, but have several friends on the spectrum, and, having been really into rail and transit all my life, getting beat up almost every day of grades 4-8 because of it, and never really being able to socially "click" until rather recently (college, and especially the co-ed frat I'm in, have worked wonders), I can kinda relate.

Hi...

I know what you're talking about...

For most of elementary school I spent most of the playground fiddling with sand... the popular kids were pretty nice to me though...

I used to dig holes in the sandbox in the playground at elementary school. It had no bottom, so I'd dig right into the dirt underneath the sandbox.

The popular kids...and most others...became a lot nicer to me in high school--maybe not friends, but the bullying mostly ended. But for those 4 years from 4th to 8th grade...no such luck.

Glad to know someone else here knows what I'm talkin' about.
