New to the board, unsure about diagnosis.

Yeah, Butcher is my real (last) name. Im a 29 year old guy from Houston, TX. I work nights at an aviation related company. I'm very shy.

I'm frankly not certain if I've been diagnosed or not. I don't really "need" a diagnosis for reasons like school or anything like that. I went to a psych who was supportive of the idea of Asperger's from the first or second time I went to see him, and future visits did not dissuade him from it. I don't know wat is actually involved in getting "the diagnosis", is it a piece of paper, a secret handshake, or what? I have very little experience with the whole psychiatric process so any advice would be appreciated.
