I figured I would finally join this website after being a lurker for a good few years now.

I'm 25/female.
I am a graphic designer and ebay reseller - I have a good few offline autistic friends. I was diagnosed last year after my friends urged me to get a diagnosis because they were certain I had some form of autism. It all finally makes sense now after speaking to multiple therapists. I had pretty bad selective mutism growing up and my mother has autism, un-diagnosed but, it's really obvious with her.

I had noticed a pattern over the course of the last 5 years that I befriend autistic people really well and I don't get along with NTs as well as I do autistic people, I have no idea why that is like that but it always happens. My best friends are Aspies and we all look out for each other because of the poison which is manipulative people.

I tend to game a lot, GW2 mainly but I'm bored of it at the moment.

I'm looking to meet people from the UK to make real life friends with at some point I guess.

I like anime, Netflix series and documentaries. I guess I'm your average 'from the internet' person.

My therapist said I have "hyper sensitivity" because I dislike loud noises and being in overly crowded places. I also normally wear sunglasses even if it's not that bright out so I don't have to do eye contact, it stresses me out.

I could go into much more detail but I'm enjoying Better Call Saul right now, haha.

Thanks for your time.

Oh awesome haha
I'm from the Stockport area though I'm often in Radcliffe at the moment. Nice to see other Mancunians about. :)

Stockport, huh? Well... that's a coincidence XD. I'm from and still in that very place.

Eye contact stresses me out too. I sometimes wear sunglasses for the same reason!

I stay with family members in Manchester about once a month/every other month if you'd like to meet.

I'm 29/male and like cooking, making my own pickles and am going to learn how to make my own butter and cheese next month. I don't feel I belong in the world we live in. I read old Thomas Hardy novels set in the Victorian era and I wish I too could live in a quiet old town or farm.

Yay northerners!

@Riik that is a very strange coincidence, lmao. Where abouts in Stockport are you? I normally get the 192 to town to escape the place. :p

@fifasy You strike me as the type of person who likes steampunk and victorian industrial type things? Just a guess. I think a meet could be arranged, could introduce you to some other autistic people if you fancied it.

@Trogluddite Yay the north! Northerners! *northerner dance which consists of awkward stumbling around*

@Noura4eva My diagnosis was really long and horrible. I mostly just said what happened in the past to a bunch of psychiatrists and specialists in different appointments. They initially started me off on a test where I had to tick off the answers, but some of them were nice it just felt very rushed to see me and get me out of the door so they can quickly diagnose me and have it done with. I do have a specialists number if I need help at least.

@JennaTheAspie Yay, I love designing and art. It makes me feel calm.

Thanks all for replying and welcoming me I appreciate it. :)

The most exact I'm gunna be on an open forum like this is to say that I'm from the Reddish/Heatons (north-west) area.

I didn't specifically say Reddish, but I'm not going to say I'm not from Reddish either, given how easily this site is to find on google. But I've never been to jail so there's some divergence there XD.

Reddish Vale, school for derps. It earned that nickname after they put that giant fence around it.
I'll PM you. :P
