I am an AS woman, the daughter of an AS man and I am raising an AS son (He's 6). This must be genetic.

I have been reading around this board, afraid to post cause I am worried I will not respond. Does that make sense? Kind of funny  <-- at myself.

Its good to be here. Glad I came here. Love the cat threads :D

I used to be worried about posting on forums too, it's fine though once you do.

Welcome to WP, RaeRae!

I'm SamuraiSaxen, the WP mexican samurai :D . I'm undiagnosed, but I'm very sure I have AS.

I was afraid to post, because my native language is spanish. I'm learning english, but I thought I might been mocked if I had a grammar mistake :P

See ya!

I didn't know your native language was Spanish. Your English is better than most English people I hear when I go out. :P

Thanks. I feel better now. I think I am just going to force myself to reply to as much stuff as possible to get into the message board thing.

I'll add some info here- I'm AS and ADHD. I'm an artist, or a wanna be artist. I love painting, I hate my own work, others love it. I just enjoy the process.

My 6 yr old son was diagnosed as AS recently, in fact I just got off the phone with his school telling me he was having a VERY bad day. I have to laugh at that yet feel bad for him at the same time. They made me talk to him on the phone about his actions and he said he didn't feel like he belongs there at school and that no one understands him. I get these calls regularly. Its hard for me to be on the side of the school cause I know exactly how he feels and I'm AS too so I don't feel like he belongs there either and naturally think the rest of the world is nuts. I don't know yet what to do about it. Hes suppose to get an AID soon that will be with him at school all day. I've offered to do it myself but they say thats not good cause he won't ever be independant of me.

ok, I'll shut-up now.

Nice to meet everyone, Thank you for the welcome :D

I have a 6 year old brother, he doesn't have AS though as far as I know. I hope things go well with your son though as he gets older. I rely on my mum quite a lot for practically everything now and I'm nearly 19. :?

I've been posting in general discussion. Its really good to be here. I finally found a place on the web where I feel comfortable and challenged. Challenged by intelligent conversation, creative ideas and witty humor without all the fluff of fakeness. I'm not weird here :D
