Made My Account A Few Months Ago; Just Never Said "Hi"

Hello, everyone.

I initially made my account on WP back in February; however, I have not actually had any time to post on the forums until now.
What can I say about myself? I am a younger female-- I would prefer not to disclose my actual age, but I am in the range from 16 to 25-- and I was officially diagnosed as an Aspie over seven years ago, in February of 2009. I have three relatives in fairly-close age proximity to myself who are also on the autism spectrum: two are nonverbal, and the third is an Aspie, like me. With one of the two nonverbal autistics and I, a conversation of stims often conveys messages that only we can comprehend.

What do some of my interests include? For one, I feel that I defy the prevailing stereotype that all Aspies/autistics are good at or even enjoy mathematical disciplines; I staunchly am in opposition to it, and instead I prefer to write poems and both informational and philosophical essays, with some short stories and excerpts of novels that I have had brewing in my mind for some time every once in a while. I do, however, have a natural aptitude for art, albeit I do not feed that aptitude as often as I'd like to. Some of my major interests-- and I consider this to be paradoxical, considering how quiet and generally shy that I am-- include psychology, sociology, cultural anthropology, and non-mainstream politics. I could easily discuss the sociohistoric oppression of various marginalized groups in today's society, yet I cannot, for my life, greet a complete stranger with a polite "Good morning!" Alas, I'm sure that other autistic people can relate to that, too. I do have a wide variety in interest regarding music genre: perhaps the only one that I dislike is country music, especially that of today. That doesn't mean that I am not finicky with what I listen to, though.

I really have a lacking of a sense of autistic/Aspie community in my personal life, hence why I made an account here on WP in hopes that I would make acquaintence with other members of the site.
