Hi!
Let me introduce myself briefly.
I'm 20 years, from Sweden. I have been diagnosed with Asperger's since I was a child, from having had very strong Asperger's, I now consider myself having a mild Asperger's compared to my childhood.
I'm currently unemployed since 2 weeks ago, having had a periodical employment at a nuclear power plant (I've worked longer at another NPP before), as a rehabilitator.
I've also worked as a security officer, economy assistant, train logistician and salesman.
I also recently finished Bible college course studies.
I wouldn't have been able to do most of these things if I had let others limit me and put me in a box! With the right determination I know I can come far and chase my dreams.
My interests are: My Christian faith, friends, games, working out, traveling, photography, geography, being out in the nature.
I have many possible plans for the future with studies. I have always found geography and languages interesting, I devoured geography books as a child, and my great grandfather was a military officer in the WW II, so I guess that's partly where my language interest and ability to learn them comes from.
I have a heart for people, and have worked (not a volunteer job) for SOS Children's Villages, to recruit monthly donors by door-to-door knocking in suburban residential areas.
I'm thinking of maybe learning languages at university, becoming an interpreter in the future, having interpreted during church services before and translated video sermons and articles before.
This would give me a chance to help immigrants coming to Sweden.
Another plan is to study economy to develop my economist experience (which is what I have most experience of in my job career).
I decided to join this site to see how others get along with Asperger's in their daily lives but especially when it comes to jobs, and to see what jobs could fit me best as an Asperger maybe, and to make some new friends maybe.
