Hello, Everybody:
My name is J.D. Quimby, as evidenced by my username of choice. I am a male of sixteen years, nine months, and twenty-six days (give or take), and a native of the United States, specifically Massachusetts. I've been diagnosed on more than one occasion with Asperger's, although I don't place much concern in the matter; I've always considered Asperger's to be much less of a disorder, and more of a personality type, and, if I do say so myself, a quite transcendent one.
I could give you a rundown of my personal life and history, but I doubt that it would yield anything any of you didn't already know; from what I have observed, my Asperger brethren seem to share more than a bit in common in these respects. In short, my quirks have given me Hell time and time again, but I am a fast learner; each time I make a mistake, one can be certain that I won't make the same mistake again, unless intentionally so. In this sense, I've come a long way in compensating for my flaws; ninety percent of the time, my talents will more than compensate for any social faux pas I might make at a given time. Indeed, I have developed a quite dominant social personality, which earns me the respect of more people than your average "Aspie" might experience (Is that a real word?).
As far as special interests are concerned, I don't particularly have any long-term obsessive tendencies. My special interests come in short bursts, and leave as abruptly as they come; much of what I do is borne from my ever-changing self-image. See, I am persistently tailoring the very fabric of my personality as I see fit; I'm an actor at heart (among other things), a trait which gives me untold potential for change.
As you've also noticed by now, I can be quite verbose at times, and for this I apologize; this was originally intended to be a rather short introduction. And so, on that note, I will bid you adieu; I wouldn't want to bore you to death.
