I ran across this place accidentally as I was googling a contacts email and username as I always do whenever I recieve inquiries from strangers. You can find out quite a bit about people that way.
(The person I googled was not a member but someone else here had the same username.)

I was shocked as I was lurking and reading posts because some of the things I was reading sounded like me.

1.) I haven't a clue what people are talking about half the time. I just don't get alot and alot of what they say that I get I just don't understand how it is "relevant". I either giggle, nod, repeat what they say or smile really big.

2.) I can talk about things I know about to great length. I like sharing knowledge or exchanging relevant information.

3.) I'm a research addict and will research mundane things to death. I love facts.

4.) I like functional art. It must have a purpose or it is clutter.

5.) I'm not touchy feely and can get overloaded if people touch me too much, or even talk to me when I am overwhelmed. This is a problem re: intimacy. If I am overloaded, it ain't happening and pressing me for it will get on my nerves. (I have a problem thinking about other things while being intimate as well.)

6.) I cannot do emotional displays for people. I am a practicing Christian, am moved by my faith and sincerely believe but I cannot get up and cry in front of people, or other such things.

7.) I hide periodically when I overload. I have spent days hiding in my house getting away from people.

8.) Everybody asks me questions because they know I can find answers. I spend alot of my time doing research for everyone else.

Anyways this is really long...but I'm 30 female, a mom, married to a bipolar spouse, have 4 kids, my own business. There's more but we just met.

Hello! Welcome to WP!

Your 'entry method' is a lot more unique than most. Others usually find it through Wikipedia!

I love mundane facts too! Someone once called me a fountain of useless information. But lets see who's laughing when they get their ass kicked on Jeopardy.

LOL. My husband (aspie) always gets invited to Quiz/Trivia nights because of his incredible general knowledge.

Hiya maybeme! Welcome to WP. Check out "nutbag's blog" on this site. I wrote it maunly to help parents of aspiekids, but you might find it of assistance in your quest for self. Several good folks have given it decent reviews.

Looks like you do scrapbooking, Joyce! Good job too.

Oh, and the children are beautiful too!! !! !

Welcome to you both. You'll be on a steep learning curve now.
