Hello everybody. I am Comrade Robert (or just Robert for short). I am a Comrade because I aim to help bring down the evil capitalist society we live in, and create a new one, based on the Socialist principles of love and respect for every individual.

I am 19 years old and live in the UK (a bit odd in a mainly American forum) and I am currently unemployed. I attend an Asperger's Syndrome support group during the day, and its really good.
I want to join a political organisation\pressure group dedicated to ending world poverty, but haven't got round to it yet, but I am a member of the Liberal Democrats (a Left-Wing UK political party). One thing I really want to do is make more friends and hopefully find a girlfriend, but I know that is difficult, having Asperger's!

Actually, i've been thinking... The only reason that Socialist societies have failed in the past is because of corrupt dictators. Since it is obvously harder to have several corrupt lawmakers than it is for just one, mabye, just maybe, if we were to have a Communist country with, at the very least, a separation of the government's powers into the hands of many different people...

Just a thought!

Vetivert, I know what you mean about the Lib Dems. They are drifting more and more to the right, but they are still left of Labour, which is the main thing, and they opposed that awful war!!

If they get too right-wing, I will leave them and join George Galloway

Problem with the Lib Dems is that they try to be all things to all people. They will tone and direct what they say to suit what they think people want to hear. In some areas of the country they appear to be left wing, and more right wing in other areas. They only appear left, because Labour are now so right wing. They are not truly left wing, and nor are they socialist. I'm with Galloway as a member of Respect

Hello, Feather, you are right about the Lib Dems - they aren't left-wing enough, but people might think that I am too extreme if I join Respect.

Galloway made me laugh over live8, when he was comparing Bush and Blair to Status Quo and Motley Crew in parliament.

His speech in America a few months back over those oil accusations was very impressive. He made them look like complete idiots (which they are of course, being neo-cons).
