Matheux is what they called my father, who I'm pretty sure was an aspie, when he was a kid. (It might have been my grandfather, in which case the word might have been "mâteux", since he was a shipbuilder.) I am matheux too; I figured out how to compute logarithms and made a slide rule when I was a kid. Once at the aspie meetup, I discussed the square root of 2 for a couple of hours with another aspie. I also like languages, linguistics, and taxonomy.

Welcome to WP!

I am a big fan of languages myself.

Are you entomologist? Coleoptera specialist?

no microbiologist = different kind of 'bugs'

(I'm actually afraid of insects  )

The bugs I usually deal with are off-by-one errors, uninitialized variables, and stack smashers ;)

If a bacterium is gram-positive, is it necessarily ounce-negative?
